Description

Lead Weekend-Night Operations That Keep Cars Looking Their Best

Own the results of a weekend-night manufacturing operation producing high-performance automotive coatings at our Cleveland, OH plant. Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will guide an experienced team to run safely, hit quality targets, and meet customer commitments—every shift.

Your schedule

Weekend Nights: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 5:00 pm–5:00 am, with occasional overtime and added weekend support as business needs arise.

What a successful night looks like

You arrive to a clean, organized floor—5S in place, operators ready. You confirm processes at the lines, review KPIs, and align with first- and night-shift leaders for a seamless handoff. Throughout the shift, you coach operators, solve problems fast, and keep batching, mixing, filling, and packaging on pace. At close, you publish a crisp report so the next crew can win.

How you will make an impact

  • Direct and coordinate weekend-night production for batching, mixing, filling, and packaging of automotive coatings.
  • Execute the schedule and protect on-time customer delivery.
  • Track workflow, equipment loading, and labor utilization to maximize throughput.
  • Partner with adjacent shift leaders to ensure flawless handoffs and communication.
  • Coach, develop, and evaluate production operators and support staff; give timely feedback and handle corrective actions when required.
  • Manage staffing and overtime to meet demand while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and 5S.
  • Verify safe, effective operation of mixers, pumps, filling lines, and related equipment.
  • Work with Maintenance to resolve breakdowns and drive preventive maintenance; reduce downtime through proactive problem-solving.
  • Maintain precise production records, shift reports, and KPI dashboards; ensure documentation meets audit and regulatory expectations.
  • Assign work to a union hourly workforce and hold employees accountable to safety, quality, and throughput standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality, EHS, and other site resources to resolve issues and remove roadblocks; optimize people, materials, and equipment.
  • Process payroll for assigned team members accurately and on time.

What you bring

  • Proven leadership in manufacturing operations with strong team-building skills.
  • Working knowledge of Lean/CI tools and 5S; demonstrated continuous improvement mindset.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA/EPA safety and environmental requirements.
  • Data-driven decision-making and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear, confident communication across shifts and functions.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

Compensation & benefits

Base salary: $70,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; a matching 401(k) plus retirement savings; paid vacation; and holiday pay.
