The Passive Safety Performance Engineer is responsible for ensuring vehicle -level crash safety performance throughout the development lifecycle. The role focuses on occupant protection, crashworthiness, and compliance with global safety standards using simulation, testing, and engineering analysis.

  • Develop and execute passive safety performance requirements<\/b> for vehicle programs
    <\/li>
  • Ensure compliance with global safety regulations and consumer crash test protocols<\/b> (FMVSS, NCAP, IIHS, etc.)
    <\/li>
  • Perform and support crash simulations<\/b> including:
    • Frontal impact
      <\/li>
    • Side impact
      <\/li>
    • Rear impact
      <\/li>
    • Rollover scenarios
      <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
    • Conduct CAE analysis and correlation with physical crash test data<\/b>
      <\/li>
    • Analyze crash performance issues and perform root cause analysis<\/b>
      <\/li>
    • Work with engineering teams to improve:
      • Vehicle structures
        <\/li>
      • Energy absorption systems
        <\/li>
      • Occupant restraint systems
        <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
      • Support optimization of safety systems including:
        • Airbags
          <\/li>
        • Seatbelts
          <\/li>
        • Occupant protection systems
          <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
        • Define and validate safety performance targets and metrics<\/b>
          <\/li>
        • Provide engineering recommendations for design improvements
          <\/li>
        • Prepare technical documentation and present results to stakeholders
          <\/li>
        • Support program milestone deliverables for safety validation
          <\/li>

          Requirements<\/h3>
          • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or related engineering field
            <\/li>
          • Experience in vehicle crash safety, passive safety, or crashworthiness engineering<\/b>
            <\/li>
          • Strong understanding of:
            • CAE simulation tools (LS -DYNA, Abaqus, HyperMesh, or equivalent)
              <\/li>
            • CAD tools (CATIA, NX, or similar)
              <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
            • Experience with:
              • Crash simulation and validation
                <\/li>
              • Test data correlation
                <\/li>
              • Engineering root cause analysis
                <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
              • Knowledge of vehicle structures and crash energy management
                <\/li>
              • Familiarity with automotive safety standards and regulations
                <\/li>
              • Strong analytical and problem -solving skills
                <\/li>
              • Ability to work in cross -functional engineering environments
