Automation Tester

Our client is seeking an Automation Tester to support the stabilization and ongoing improvement of a recently implemented online banking platform within their consumer banking business. This role requires strong experience in test automation, comfort working in a fast-paced and high-visibility environment, and the ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and business teams. The ideal candidate has experience building automated regression and functional test suites and can help improve platform reliability, reduce defects, and enhance overall customer experience following a recent platform migration.
Job Description:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for end-to-end regression and functional testing
Build and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium and WebDriver technologies
Support platform stabilization efforts by identifying defects, regressions, and performance issues tied to recent system migration
Contribute to the implementation of a comprehensive automated regression testing suite
Support release management processes to ensure quality and consistency across deployments
Assist with environment management across testing and production workflows
Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure proper test coverage across critical features and enhancements
Identify risks, issues, and gaps in test coverage and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Support testing efforts aligned to key initiatives including money movement, fraud mitigation, and user experience improvements
Validate system integrations and end-to-end workflows across the digital banking platform
Contribute to documentation, QA best practices, and continuous improvement of testing standards
Perform additional responsibilities as required
Responsibilities:
Work within a cross-functional product pod alongside developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts
Own automation efforts for regression and functional testing across a high-impact, customer-facing platform
Support key initiatives including fraud stabilization, UX improvements, and platform reliability
Ensure stability and reliability of digital banking features following a recent platform transition
Support release cycles, deployment validation, and environment coordination
Help reduce production defects and improve overall platform quality
Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with evolving priorities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent experience
5 years of experience in test automation and quality engineering
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and WebDriver
Experience building and maintaining automated regression and functional test suites
Experience with release management and environment management processes
Experience testing customer-facing applications, preferably within financial services or digital banking
Familiarity with Agile, SCRUM, or hybrid SDLC environments
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and best practices
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently within a small, fast-paced, cross-functional team
Experience supporting large-scale platform implementations or migrations is a plus
Exposure to fraud, payments, or money movement systems is a plus
