Description

Our client, a leader in scientific manufacturing, is seeking an Automation Technician to join their team. As an Automation Technician, you will be part of the Manufacturing Support Department supporting production and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Automation Technician

Location: Rochester, NY

Pay Range: $24 - $28hr

Shift: Night and Day shifts available (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM)

What's the Job?

  • Perform immediate and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure continuous production.
  • Identify, document, and implement opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.
  • Work with advanced manufacturing systems including robotics, vision systems, ultrasonic welding, and printing technologies.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety standards and procedures.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or a related role.
  • Experience with PLC systems, SCADA, and automated manufacturing equipment is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment documentation.
