    Location: Pelzer, SC
    Job Overview:
    We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician with strong hands-on experience in injection molding automation. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, program, maintain, and optimize industrial automation systems, including molding robots, PLCs, HMIs, servo motors, motion control systems, VFDs, and pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Troubleshoot molding automation systems, including robots, conveyors, sensors, and vision systems.
    • Respond to equipment alarms and faults to minimize production downtime.
    • Program and optimize molding robots such as Sepro, Fanuc, Yushin, and Wittmann.
    • Modify robot paths and sequences to improve cycle time and part quality.
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
    • Replace worn components and calibrate sensors, actuators, and other automation devices.
    • Support mold trials and new product launches by setting up automation sequences.
    • Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, HMIs, servo motors, VFDs, and motion control systems.
    • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
    • Work with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve recurring equipment issues.
    • Support continuous improvement, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
    • Maintain robot program backups, maintenance records, and equipment documentation.
    • Ensure automation equipment operates in accordance with applicable safety, ISO, FDA, and GMP requirements.
    Required Qualifications:
    • 4+ years of experience in injection molding automation or a related field.
    • Hands-on experience with robot programming and troubleshooting.
    • Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial sensors, VFDs, and motion control.
    • Experience with servo motors and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
    • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
    • Familiarity with EOAT (End-of-Arm Tooling) design and maintenance.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Technical certification or Associate's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Industrial Automation, or a related field is preferred.
