    Automation Technician – Manufacturing
    We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Automation Technician for our client in Memphis, TN. MUST be a US Citizen or have a Green Card.


    Required Qualifications



    • 3+ years of industrial automation experience, including troubleshooting.

    • Strong working knowledge of: Allen-Bradley PLCs, RSLogix 500/5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, Ethernet/IP Networks, Industrial Electrical Systems

    • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and control drawings.

    • Experience troubleshooting sensors, encoders, limit switches, safety devices, and communication networks.

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to work directly on equipment.

    • Ability to work overtime.


    Responsibilities Include:



    • Troubleshoot and repair automation, electrical, and control system issues on manufacturing equipment.

    • Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs using RSLogix and Studio 5000.

    • Diagnose communication issues between PLCs, HMIs, drives, encoders, and other field devices.

    • Identify and resolve problems involving: Encoders and encoder zeroing/calibration, Limit switches and proximity sensors, Ethernet/IP and industrial communications, Safety circuits and interlocks, Servo and VFD systems

    • Perform PLC logic modifications and updates as needed to improve equipment reliability and performance.

    • Provide remote troubleshooting support from home during off-hours when required.

    • Support maintenance personnel with complex machine diagnostics and repairs.

    • Assist in the development and execution of Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs.

    • Document troubleshooting activities, repairs, and logic changes.

    • Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and increase production efficiency.

    • Participate in continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades.

    • independently diagnosing and resolving production issues, modifying PLC logic as necessary, and providing remote after-hours support when required.
