Automation Technician

AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN | GREENSBORO, NC | $55–$60/HOUR

Reliance One is recruiting an experienced Automation Technician for one of our clients in Greensboro, North Carolina.

If your background includes industrial automation, PLC programming, robotics, servo systems, and equipment troubleshooting, this opportunity offers the chance to put that experience to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Location: Greensboro, NC

Pay: $55–$60/hour

Employment: Contract Opportunity

Schedule: On-site

Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision begin Day 1

Travel: Up to 30% domestic and international travel

WHAT YOU BRING

• Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment OR equipment installation and debugging experience

• Experience with electrical and/or mechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment

• Hands-on PLC programming experience with the ability to read, write, and modify logic

• Mitsubishi PLC experience preferred; Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, and similar platforms will also be considered

• Experience with servo motion controllers

• Experience with relay logic, including wiring and troubleshooting

• Robotics programming and troubleshooting experience

• Hydraulic and/or pneumatic troubleshooting experience

• Ability to read and interpret schematics

• Availability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdown periods as needed

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%

ADDED BONUS

• Technical associate degree or higher, or equivalent experience

• Pre-production setup experience

• Experience with production processes, including Standardized Work (STW) and Job Instruction Sheets (JIS)

• Experience gathering and analyzing quality data from multiple sources

• New plant or facility startup experience

• High-volume production experience in a clean-room environment

WHO WILL DO WELL IN THIS ROLE?

Someone who enjoys being hands-on with equipment and isn't limited to one area of automation. We're looking for a technician who can move comfortably between PLCs, robotics, electrical systems, servo controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting to help get equipment running—and keep it running.
