Description
Nucor Towers & Structures Inc is seeking an Automation Operator in Trinity, AL. In this role, you will load, operate, and maintain robotic plasma and weld cells, as well as operate heavy machinery and conduct quality inspections to keep production running safely and efficiently. Qualified candidates must have at least 6 months of welding experience, 1 year of robotic welding experience, and the ability to read technical drawings, prints, and weld standards.

Job Responsibilities
Key Job Duties
- Load, operate, and maintain robotic plasma and weld cells according to production schedules and standard operating procedures
- Load raw materials into fixtures, conduct visual and dimensional quality inspections, and perform basic troubleshooting or setup adjustments
- Safely operate heavy equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts, while upholding strict safety protocols and maintaining an organized work area
- Document production data, report operational issues to supervisors, and assist with changeovers and routine preventive maintenance
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- 1 year of robotic welding experience and 6 months of general welding experience
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding standards
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including night and weekend shifts as required
- Preferred background with ABB robotics, MIG flux core welding, forklift operation, and overhead cranes
