Automation Maintenance Electrician (Allen‑Bradley)

Location: Sacramento, CA | Pay: $49.40–$50.39/hr | Type: Temporary

Role Snapshot

Schedule & Pay

  • Day Shift: 4:00 AM start
  • Swing Shift: 2:30 PM start
  • Overtime: Available
  • Compensation: $49.40–$50.39/hour

Core Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and automated lines
  • Repair and maintain electrical and control circuits
  • Program/modify Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLCs
  • Support automated production equipment and improve uptime
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and automation faults
  • Operate within HMIs and SCADA; utilize FactoryTalk, RS Linx, and Stratix switches
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics/blueprints
  • Install and commission industrial machinery
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Act to reduce and prevent production downtime

Required Background

  • 6+ years in industrial maintenance or controls
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting capability
  • PLC troubleshooting proficiency
  • Experience with Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix or CompactLogix
  • HMI experience
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Industrial manufacturing experience

Preferred Plus

  • Food manufacturing background
  • Automated production equipment experience
  • SCADA and FactoryTalk familiarity
  • Wonderware experience
  • PID tuning knowledge
  • Forklift and scissor lift familiarity
  • Industrial instrumentation exposure
