    We design and build advanced battery systems for construction equipment, aerial work platforms, material handling, robotics, marine, military, and commercial EV markets. From our Mason, Ohio facility, we’re looking for a hands-on specialist who thrives on keeping complex automated systems running at peak performance—and making them better every day.

    Questions to ask yourself

    • Can you hunt down the root cause of a line stop across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, and controls domains?
    • Do you enjoy stepping into PLC code, HMIs, and motion control to debug, optimize, and modify?
    • Are you energized by commissioning new equipment and validating new production lines?
    • Could you architect preventive and predictive maintenance programs that cut downtime and boost reliability?
    • Will you lead structured problem-solving (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA) and back it up with data from OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and downtime reports?
    • Do you keep drawings, PLC backups, spares, and maintenance records current so the team can move fast?
    • Are you comfortable supporting robots (industrial and cobots), assembly cells, conveyors, torque systems, machine vision, laser marking, dispensing, battery cyclers, and end-of-line test rigs?
    • Can you debug industrial networks and devices—Ethernet/IP, I/O, sensors, actuators, servo drives, and VFDs?
    • Do you like improving control panels and electrical systems to be safer, simpler, and more robust?
    • Will you partner with Manufacturing Engineering to lift cycle times, ergonomics, quality, and throughput?
    • Can you identify and deliver capital upgrades, automation enhancements, and cost-down opportunities?
    • Are you ready to support facility utilities like compressed air, electrical distribution, and HVAC interfaces?
    • Will you champion OSHA, NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, and electrical safety?
    • Do you collaborate smoothly with Quality, Manufacturing, Product Integration, Test Engineering, and Operations?
    • Can you stand up and sustain Odoo ERP, MES, and Maintenance modules for work orders, PMs, spares, and equipment history?

    What makes you a great fit

    • BS in Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field.
    • 5+ years supporting automated manufacturing equipment on the production floor.
    • Expert at troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems.
    • Fluent with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Omron, or Mitsubishi.
    • HMI development and protocols: Ethernet/IP, Profinet, DeviceNet, Modbus, or EtherCAT.
    • Experience with servo systems, VFDs, motion control, and industrial networking.
    • Robotics exposure: FANUC, ABB, Universal Robots, Yaskawa, Epson, or similar.
    • Background in automated assembly, machine vision, leak testing, dispensing, conveyors, and automated inspection.
    • Can read/modify schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and control panel layouts.
    • Preferred tools: AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar.
    • Strong command of industrial electrical systems, sensors, instrumentation, and machine safety.
    • Plus: predictive maintenance (vibration, thermal imaging, lubrication management, condition monitoring).
    • Continuous improvement mindset—Lean, TPM, Six Sigma.
