The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets. We are looking for an Automations Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Spartanburg, SC location. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing cutting edge automation solutions. You'll make an impact by: Designing, programming, commissioning, and supporting industrial automation and control systems. Developing and maintaining PLC, HMI, SCADA, and MES applications for manufacturing processes. Leading automation projects from concept through implementation, startup, and production support. Integrating robotics, machine vision systems, and automated equipment into manufacturing operations. Troubleshooting controls, communication networks, and automation-related production issues to minimize downtime. Collaborating with manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability. Creating and maintaining technical documentation, electrical schematics, functional specifications, and control narratives. Ensuring compliance with company safety standards and applicable industry regulations. You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and controls engineering. Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC-based automation systems. Experience with software integrations using Java or Python. Experience implementing and supporting SCADA systems and Edge Technology in manufacturing environments. Experience integrating and supporting MES solutions. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, and Profibus. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and P&IDs. Experience troubleshooting automation systems and managing engineering or automation projects. Ability to effectively communicate technical information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
