Job Title

Automation Engineer / Axway Edifecs Developer

Key Responsibilities – Automation Engineer

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand automation requirements for server builds.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and the Ansible Automation Platform.
  • Automate on-premises server builds for Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
  • Automate server provisioning and configuration through vCenter and other virtualization/hypervisor platforms.
  • Enhance the quality, efficiency, and reliability of the automation infrastructure.
  • Ensure automation solutions comply with internal concepts, standards, regulations, and operating requirements.
  • Make informed decisions regarding work approaches, priorities, and automation strategies while following established guidelines.
  • Contribute to additional automation projects and initiatives as required.
  • Support automation of virtual machine infrastructure and server deployment processes.

Axway Edifecs / EDI Responsibilities

  • Develop and support EDI integrations for large healthcare payer environments.
  • Develop and maintain EDI X12 transactions, including 834, 271, 276/277, and other HIPAA transactions.
  • Work with Axway B2Bi/SecureTransport and Edifecs platforms, including SpecBuilder and XEngine.
  • Manage trading partner onboarding, connectivity, configuration, and integration processes.
  • Configure and support trading partner connectivity using AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS.
  • Troubleshoot EDI processing issues and ensure stable production operations.
  • Support HIPAA-compliant EDI integrations and healthcare data exchange processes.
  • Monitor EDI workflows, file transfers, transaction processing, and production interfaces.
  • Support claims, eligibility, and enrollment-related EDI workflows.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, trading partners, and stakeholders to resolve integration issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and support team collaboration.

Required Technical Skills – Automation

  • Proven experience with Ansible.
  • Strong experience with Ansible Automation Platform.
  • Experience automating server provisioning and configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Experience with vCenter and virtualization/hypervisor platforms.
  • Experience managing virtual machine infrastructure.
  • Understanding of server infrastructure, operating systems, and automation best practices.

Required Technical Skills – EDI / Edifecs

  • Strong experience with Axway and Edifecs.
  • Solid knowledge of EDI X12 transactions.
  • Experience with Edifecs SpecBuilder and XEngine.
  • Experience with Axway B2Bi and SecureTransport.
  • Strong knowledge of AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS protocols.
  • Experience with EDI processing and production support.
  • Experience with trading partner onboarding and connectivity.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA-compliant integrations.
  • Understanding of healthcare claims, eligibility, and enrollment workflows.
  • Exposure to MuleSoft and cloud/API integrations is a plus.

Healthcare Domain Skills

  • Healthcare payer experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting large healthcare payer environments such as HCSC or Humana is desirable.
  • Understanding of healthcare EDI and HIPAA standards.
  • Knowledge of claims processing workflows.
  • Knowledge of eligibility and enrollment processes.
