Description

The Automation Engineer will:

  • Manage small-scale projects or multiple tasks within the automation discipline.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders and production operators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Diagnose and resolve minor issues with current automation systems.
  • Work with operators, technicians, and vendors to troubleshoot complex issues with minimal guidance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, datasheets, and system reports.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical staff to implement procedures, address malfunctions, and provide technical support.
  • Prioritize tasks and adjust workflow to meet evolving business needs independently.
  • Produce schematics, blueprints, and work instructions for small to medium‑scale projects.
  • Source components and prepare detailed specifications for equipment and material purchases.
  • Use computer‑aided engineering and design tools to support automation projects.

Profile

The successful Automation Engineer should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience designing and building new automation
  • Experience maintaining and fixing exciting systems
  • Managing projects and working cross functionally
  • Basic understanding of PLCs and how they work
