About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Indianapolis, IN. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial automation and process control systems.Hands-on experience with both Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs and Emerson DeltaV DCS is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC and Emerson DeltaV DCS systems.
- Develop and modify PLC programs, control logic, sequences, alarms, and interlocks.
- Troubleshoot HMIs, instrumentation, control systems, and industrial communications.
- Support automation upgrades, commissioning, startup, and system integration.
- Review P&IDs, electrical drawings, control narratives, and functional specifications.
- Support functional testing, FAT/SAT, and qualification/validation activities.
- Maintain automation documentation and support change control, deviations, and root-cause investigations.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Operations, and external vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Automation, Controls, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Strong hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS.
- Experience with industrial automation and process control in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of PLC/DCS troubleshooting, HMI systems, instrumentation, alarms, and interlocks.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, control narratives, and functional specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Salary
The hourly rate for this position is $40 $50 per hour.
