Automation Engineer

Overview: Apogee Engineering is seeking Automation Engineers that will support design and implement process automation solutions within the NASIC Business Architecture environment. Journeyman: Minimum three (3) years of experience in automation engineering, software development, or related functional area; Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Apogee Engineering is seeking Automation Engineers that will support design and implement process automation solutions within the NASIC Business Architecture environment. This position identifies automation opportunities and implements technical solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and mission support.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess opportunities for automating business and technical processes.
• Design and implement automation workflows, scripts, or tools that integrate with existing systems.
• Collaborate with systems architects, business analysts, and IT service managers to ensure automated solutions align with the overall architecture.
• Test and validate automation solutions, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Document automation designs and operational procedures.
• Monitor automated processes and recommend improvements.

Qualifications:

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen 
Clearance: TS/SCI
Certifications: Lean Six Sigma certification
Education / Years of Experience:

• Journeyman: Minimum three (3) years of experience in automation engineering, software development, or related functional area; Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Senior: Minimum ten (10) years of experience in automation engineering or related functional area; Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience designing and implementing automation solutions in complex, mission-critical environments.
