Build your field career with Hoogendoorn USA

As a Field Commissioning Specialist with Hoogendoorn USA, you’ll install, test, and support advanced controls that keep high-tech growing environments running smoothly. Your development path
This is a development role geared to early-career technicians who enjoy troubleshooting and learning new technologies. We hire for technical potential, not for a fully formed controls engineer. Electrical fundamentals, curiosity, problem-solving, customer focus, and a willingness to travel matter most.
What you’ll bring
- Technical certificate, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in automation, mechatronics, electrical technology, instrumentation, industrial maintenance, HVAC/building controls, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 1–3 years of practical experience preferred.
- Solid grasp of electrical fundamentals and diagnostic techniques.
- Comfort using a multimeter and working on low-voltage control circuits.
- Ability to read basic electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with sensors and digital/analog I/O.
- Working knowledge of Ethernet, IP addressing, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Strong learning agility, problem-solving, and professional communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Valid driver’s license and readiness to travel extensively.
- Authorization to work in the United States.

Success profile
You’re hands-on, curious, dependable, and excited to travel. You like diagnosing issues in the field more than sitting at a desk.
