Seeking an experienced Automation and Quality Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing, plant, supplier, or product quality. Must have expertise in quality management, root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement in high-volume manufacturing environments.
Job Title: Automation and Quality Engineer
Location: Sherrill, New York
Key Responsibilities
- Drive manufacturing quality improvements and maintain QMS compliance with applicable ISO standards.
- Perform root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone methodologies.
- Implement CAPA, APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
- Investigate customer complaints, warranty claims, and production quality issues.
- Lead supplier audits, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
Required Skills
- 12+ years in Manufacturing, Plant, Supplier, or Product Quality.
- QMS, ISO Standards, RCA, and CAPA.
- APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
- SPC, MSA, process audits, and risk assessment.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke.
- Manufacturing process knowledge and supplier quality management.
- GD&T, engineering drawings, CAD/PLM familiarity, and team leadership.
