Position Description – Automatic Machine Operator II Company: Quality Steel Corporation Reports to: Department Manager Key Responsibilities: - Ensure Safety First, Safety Always, and meet or exceed Quality expectations.
- Inspect equipment to be utilized prior to shift start.
- Operate machinery to manufacturer’s specifications, meeting time budgets for finished product.
- Control and adjust machine settings as required.
- Perform Quality Control. Visually inspect product for defects prior to conveyance. Report defects to Supervisor.
- Follow reporting and record-keeping procedures, and report issues to Supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstation and machine(s) utilized.
Experience: - Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, preferred.
- Weld experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, humidity, cold).
- Skilled in working with computer-operated and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to safely lift/move up to 60 lbs.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools.
- Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members to accomplish departmental goals and to improve operations.
Education and Certification Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED
