Automated Test Engineer

You will write and execute automated front-end regression tests, develop and perform manual regression testing procedures, and document test performance, software defects, and design inefficiencies.You will work closely with developers to create realistic and effective testing scenarios, bringing an understanding of what makes a strong test and how testing can best support the development team throughout the software lifecycle. This role requires developer-level coding and/or scripting skills in JavaScript, Bash, Python, and YAML, with the ability to apply those skills to test automation, troubleshooting, and overall system validation.You will demonstrate a high level of self-initiative, technical curiosity, and ownership in your work, with the ability to independently build system knowledge, identify potential issues, and serve as a reliable partner to the development team.This position is full time and on-site in the Denver area.Required Skills:Current TS/SCI Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship – with the ability to pass a Polygraph Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or Master's with 2–6 years of relevant experience6+ years of software test engineering or quality engineering experience, preferably supporting government, DoD, or Intelligence Community programsExperience developing and executing manual and automated tests, including functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testingExperience with front-end, back-end, and API testing, using automation frameworks and tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Postman, REST Assured, or similarDeveloper-level coding and/or scripting skills using JavaScript, Python, Bash, and/or YAMLStrong system-level understanding with the ability to troubleshoot applications across the UI, services, APIs, data, and supporting infrastructureExperience identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects, test results, risks, and coverage needs through resolutionFamiliarity with CI/CD environments and incorporating automated testing into software build and deployment workflowsUnderstanding of the software development lifecycle and the ability to evaluate functionality, performance, reliability, security, and usabilityExperience working within Agile development teams and collaborating closely with developers, system engineers, testers, and integration/operations teamsStrong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical issues, test results, and recommendationsSelf-motivated with a focus on improving test effectiveness, automation, and overall coverageSecurity+ Certification, or ability to obtain within the first six months of employmentNice to HaveExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or OpenShiftExperience with Git, Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar development and CI/CD toolsExperience with performance/load testing and tools such as JMeter or LoadRunnerFamiliarity with DevSecOps and automated quality practicesExperience with Elasticsearch, Solr, or other document-oriented/search data platformsExperience with GIS, GEOINT data, or OGC WMS/WFSComfortable working in Linux and Windows environmentsTesting/quality certifications such as ISTQB, CAST, CSTE, or similarThis position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes profit sharing 401k plan with significant profit-sharing opportunities, company-paid health, vision, and dental care benefits, flexible PTO, and bonus opportunities.The base salary range for this position is $101,300 - $181,140 annually, based on full-time employment in the Denver, Colorado area.
