The Job

San Bernardino County is accepting applications for Automated Systems Analysts (ASA) II who are responsible for server and network infrastructure support, as well as second tier support on desktop environments. ASA IIs are responsible for diverse information systems that may include interfaces to other County enterprise systems. Essential duties include system administration, advanced troubleshooting skills, network design and management, database and server administration, evaluation and recommendation of new technologies, capacity planning, writing hardware and software specifications, and interacting with vendors and other departments.

The current vacancies exist throughout the County. The list established from this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.

The resulting eligible list may also be used to fill vacancies within the County Special Districts and Fire District. The Fire District and Special Districts Departments are separate entities from San Bernardino County, and as such, compensation and benefits for their positions are set forth in a different compensation plan. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must successfully pass a background check, including fingerprinting and polygraph for some positions, and a job-related physical exam, prior to employment.

Shift Availability: Must be available to work different shifts. The County pays an hourly differential for those employees working night shifts.
