Automated Production Cell Operator

You load raw materials, check dimensions, and watch the line come alive—welding, assembly, T-bolt, and V-band machines turning parts into finished products. You learn to read gauges, make small adjustments, keep 5S standards, and record quality checks with precision. By the end of the shift, you’ve helped your crew hit the day’s goals—and you’re already cross-training for the next machine.

Your First Year—Mapped Out

• Start: $20.00/hour during a 65-day contract-to-hire period with TOPS Staffing
• After 60 Days: $24.23/hour
• After 6 Months: $28.46/hour
• After 1 Year: $32.69/hour
• Annual Raises: Scheduled 4% increases

Shifts and Differentials

• Available Shifts:
  • Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Night: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Differentials: Afternoon +$0.55/hour, Night +$0.65/hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday with voluntary overtime during the week and weekends (double time on Sunday)
• Daylight Opportunities: Become available through the company’s internal bidding process

What You’ll Do

• Operate manual, semi-automated, and automated production equipment
• Run welding, assembly, T-bolt, V-band, and other specialized machines
• Load materials and components; remove, inspect, and package finished parts to customer specs
• Monitor equipment, make basic adjustments, and perform routine maintenance/minor repairs
• Complete in-process quality inspections and accurate production/quality records
• Maintain 5S standards and contribute to a safe, efficient, team-driven work area
• Cross-train across machines and departments as opportunities arise

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Manufacturing or machine operating experience is helpful, not required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
• Ability to pass a mechanical and mathematical aptitude assessment
• Comfort in a fast-paced production setting with reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes
