    Auto Technician

    Responsibilities of an Auto Technician:

    Vehicle Maintenance

    • Perform routine maintenance and preventative services on fleet vehicles.
    • Complete oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
    • Conduct vehicle safety inspections and identify maintenance needs.
    • Help extend vehicle life through proactive maintenance.

    Diagnostics & Repairs

    • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
    • Repair brakes, suspension systems, steering components, batteries, and other vehicle systems.
    • Troubleshoot engine and drivability concerns.
    • Test vehicles after repairs to ensure proper operation and safety.
    • Complete repairs accurately and efficiently.

    Fleet Support

    • Help minimize vehicle downtime and maximize fleet availability.
    • Prioritize repairs based on operational needs.
    • Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to keep vehicles service-ready.
    • Maintain accurate repair orders and maintenance records.

    Shop Operations

    • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
    • Properly use and maintain shop equipment and tools.
    • Assist with parts inventory and tracking.
    • Follow company safety procedures and maintenance standards.

    Qualifications of an Auto Technician:

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience as an Automotive Technician, Fleet Technician, Mechanic, Diesel Technician, or similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
    • Experience working on fleet vehicles, taxis, vans, commercial vehicles, or light-duty trucks preferred.
    • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Experience using diagnostic equipment and repair software.
    • ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
    • Valid driver's license required.
