Penmac Staffing is seeking an experienced Auto Mechanic for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a local automotive service company. This position is ideal for someone with strong diagnostic skills who enjoys troubleshooting vehicle issues and performing a variety of mechanical repairs in a professional shop environment.Requirements
- Previous auto mechanic experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- General knowledge of vehicle systems and repairs
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle issues
- Must provide your own tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and working in various positions
- Good hand dexterity and attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
ResponsibilitiesAs an Auto Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicle concerns while maintaining quality workmanship and safety standards.
Job duties include:
- Diagnosing vehicle problems using shop-provided diagnostic equipment
- Performing general automotive repairs and maintenance
- Replacing major components when necessary, including engines and transmissions
- Inspecting vehicles and identifying needed repairs
- Testing vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation
- Maintaining an organized and safe work area
- Communicating repair findings and recommendations to management
This is not a lube technician position. The primary focus of this role is vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair.
