Auto Body Painter
Bow, NH | $30–$41/hr plus Benefits | Full-Time
We’re looking for an experienced Auto Body Painter / Refinish Technician who takes pride in a clean finish and knows how to make a repair disappear.
This is a hands-on shop environment with a good mix of cars, trucks, trailers, commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. If you know your way around a spray gun, can dial in a color match, and don’t cut corners on prep, this could be a solid fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prep vehicles and equipment for paint — sanding, masking, priming, filling and final prep
- Mix and match colors and make adjustments when needed
- Spray primer, base and clear using professional equipment
- Blend panels and adjacent areas for a seamless finish
- Inspect your work for color, coverage, texture and overall finish
- Correct imperfections and rework as needed
- Set up and maintain spray guns, paint booth and mixing equipment
- Follow proper flash times, paint procedures and product specs
- Keep your work area, booth and mixing area clean and organized
- Work with the body techs and shop team to keep jobs moving
- Handle paint, solvents and related materials safely
What We’re Looking For
- Surface prep, sanding, masking and priming
- Paint mixing and color matching
- Base coat and clear coat application
- Blending and finish correction
- Professional spray gun and paint booth experience
- Good eye for color, texture and detail
- Ability to work from paint codes, formulas and repair orders
- Proper PPE, respirator and hazardous-material handling practices
Truck, trailer or heavy-equipment painting experience is a big plus. So is additional body repair experience.
