Position: Furnace Operator (Direct Hire)

Schedule: 12-hour day & night shifts | 4 days on / 4 days off

What You’ll Do
You’ll operate and support smelting/refining equipment and related processes, including:
- Monitor and adjust equipment using process control systems (respond to alarms, change parameters)
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance to keep areas/equipment in safe working order
- Support process steps such as flux application and overhead crane operation (remote)
- Troubleshoot minor issues, follow work instructions, and support continuous improvement
- Maintain material flow systems (silos/conveyors), removing build-ups/blockages as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3–5 years equipment/machine operation in manufacturing
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively; stand/walk for long periods
- Willing/able to work in a smelter environment and high-heat conditions
- Physical ability to climb, reach, twist/turn, stoop, and perform hands-on work tasks
- Driver’s license for industrial trucks and overhead crane operation (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience (or willingness to learn): oxygen burner lance and demolition robot
- Safety-focused, team-oriented, reliable, and open to feedback/change
