    Auditor - Omaha, NE (Onsite)

    Duration: 10+ months

    Day-to-day Responsibilities:

    • Work under the direction of attorneys to assist in investigations and trial preparations.
    • Conduct medical claims data analysis, forensic investigations, and financial examinations.
    • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and investigations.
    • Conduct audits for civil enforcement of federal laws like the False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute.
    • Support criminal investigations involving wire fraud and money laundering.
    • Analyze complex data sets related to healthcare fraud and government program fraud.
    • Identify anomalies in healthcare claim codes and normalize claims data.
    • Develop and defend financial damage models for litigation.
    • Conduct financial investigations to assess settlement capabilities.
    • Prepare detailed financial reports and communicate findings to legal teams.
    • Engage with witnesses and representatives of agencies to support investigations.
    • Participate in Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) Review Team.

    Required Skills:

    • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
    • Minimum of three years' experience as an auditor.
    • Two years of specialized experience in relevant areas like Medicare billing.
    • Proficiency in accounting and financial analysis systems.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Experience in a litigation environment.

    Education:

    • Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
    • MBA or equivalent in accounting or a related field.
