Job Overview - Sr. Audit Technology & AI Analyst - 34211

Are you passionate about AI, automation, and transforming the way internal audit operates? We're looking for an innovative professional who can bridge the gap between technology and audit by building AI-powered solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and modernize the audit function.

This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of AI adoption, designing intelligent workflows, developing custom applications, and helping redefine how audits are performed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize high-impact AI opportunities across the internal audit lifecycle-from risk assessment and planning through testing, reporting, and continuous monitoring.
  • Design, build, and enhance AI-powered applications and agentic workflows that automate controls testing, evidence collection, documentation, and reporting.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, large language models (LLMs), and automation platforms by leading proofs of concept and recommending scalable solutions.
  • Drive AI adoption across the Internal Audit organization by developing training, playbooks, governance standards, and best practices.
  • Develop and integrate AI-enabled applications using modern technologies including React, TypeScript, Node.js, and SQLite.
  • Leverage AI coding platforms such as Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, and other agentic development tools to accelerate software development, testing, and code quality.
  • Design and execute quality assurance strategies to validate AI outputs for accuracy, reliability, and audit readiness.
  • Establish AI governance, prompt engineering standards, validation processes, and human-in-the-loop review procedures to ensure responsible AI usage.
  • Apply internal audit expertise to ensure AI solutions accurately reflect business process controls, SOX compliance, IT General Controls (ITGCs), and control certification requirements.
  • Partner with audit leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver impactful AI solutions.
  • Measure and communicate the effectiveness of AI initiatives through metrics focused on audit quality, efficiency, coverage, and risk reduction.
  • Support a variety of audit engagements-including operational, IT, cybersecurity, financial, and data analytics projects-while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing audit team.

Requirements

  • Big 4 public accounting experience required
  • 2-4 years of software engineering, AI/ML, or application development experience OR 5+ years of internal or external audit experience with demonstrated technical expertise
  • Hands-on experience using AI/LLM platforms and agentic development tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies
  • Experience validating AI outputs and applying software quality assurance methodologies
  • Understanding of internal control frameworks including COSO, SOX compliance, and IT General Controls (ITGCs)
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or another modern programming language
  • Familiarity with enterprise application development, SDLC, APIs, npm, and modern development environments
  • Knowledge of responsible AI principles, data privacy, governance, and model risk management
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across both technical and business teams
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-20%
