Description

Kforce's client, a growing public accounting firm located in Quincy, MA is seeking an Audit Staff professional to join its assurance team. This remote role is responsible for supporting financial statement audits, preparing audit documentation, analyzing financial data, and collaborating with clients to ensure successful engagements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality client service. Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute audit procedures in accordance with approved audit plans and risk-based audit methodologies
  • Test and analyze transaction samples across various audit areas
  • Prepare and maintain audit workpapers, checklists, and supporting documentation
  • Assist with audit confirmations and track responses throughout the engagement
  • Communicate findings, observations, and potential issues to senior audit team members
  • Prepare analytical reviews and investigate significant variances
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management recommendations
  • Build strong client relationships and effectively gather information needed to complete engagements
  • Communicate engagement progress and project status in a timely, organized manner
  • Stay current on accounting and auditing standards and their impact on financial reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 2-6 years of audit experience or public accounting internship preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting and auditing principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit software tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
