    Audit Senior / Audit Manager

    Compensation: $95,000–$150,000 Base + Bonus
    Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
    Schedule: Flexible Hybrid 

    Our client is seeking an experienced Audit Senior / Audit Manager to join its expanding Assurance practice.

    This opportunity is ideal for professionals who enjoy leading engagements, mentoring staff, and building trusted relationships with clients while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

    You'll work with privately held businesses, nonprofits, manufacturers, construction companies, and other growing organizations throughout West Michigan.

    Key Responsibilities

    Engagement Leadership

    • Plan and manage audits, reviews, and compilations
    • Review workpapers and financial statements
    • Ensure engagements are completed on time and within budget
    • Communicate findings to clients and leadership

    Client Advisory

    • Develop long-term client relationships
    • Provide recommendations to improve controls and operations
    • Assist clients with financial reporting matters

    Team Development

    • Mentor and supervise staff accountants
    • Review work and provide training
    • Support recruiting and onboarding efforts

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
    • CPA preferred
    • 4+ years of public accounting experience
    • Audit and assurance background
    • Strong GAAP knowledge

    Preferred

    • Manufacturing experience
    • Construction experience
    • Nonprofit audit experience
    • Employee benefit plan audit experience
