We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audit Manager with a strong background in public accounting to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. As an Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in our organization, ensuring our financial operations and controls meet standards and are error-free. Our ideal candidate has a solid understanding of audit techniques, experience with GAAS, risk assessment, engagement, and auditing, and a keen eye for identifying issues and opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the planning and execution of audit engagements to ensure they are conducted in accordance with GAAS, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform risk assessments on key business activities and use this information to develop an annual audit plan.
  • Review financial statements, records, reports, operations and documentation to ascertain the extent of compliance with established controls, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide assurance on the effectiveness of the company's internal controls and risk management procedures.
  • Prepare and present audit findings to senior management, including recommendations for corrective actions or improvements.
  • Develop, build and implement tools to analyze data to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness, ultimately, increasing value to our internal customers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and legislations that may affect the company's operations.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on audits.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing and directing a team.
  • Proficient in GAAS, risk assessment, engagement, auditing, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of operational procedures and financial statements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and to delegate tasks effectively.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
