Location: Toms River, NJ

Overview

A national CPA firm with a strong focus on real estate and community development is seeking an Audit Manager in Toms River to manage audit and other attest engagements for clients in the renewable energy industry. You will function with minimal supervision, supervise and mentor supervisors, seniors and staff, and strengthen client relationships. Remote and hybrid opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Take primary responsibility for client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing and technical decisions, and oversee completion with minimal oversight
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews
• Supervise and mentor supervisors, senior accountants and staff and complete annual performance evaluations
• Assist firm leadership in identifying and pursuing new clients
• Develop, strengthen and grow client relationships
• Represent the firm through conference panels, publications, recruiting events and trainings
• Manage team time efficiently to support office profitability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance (advanced degree a plus)
• 5-8 years of public accounting experience
• CPA license strongly preferred
• Expert understanding of GAAP and U.S. auditing standards
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Experience with renewable energy, oil and gas, utilities, real estate, affordable housing or tax credit structures is helpful but not required
