Overview

A national professional services firm is seeking an Audit Manager or Director for its healthcare assurance team, with Albuquerque, New Mexico among the listed locations. This role plans, supervises and controls all phases of assurance engagements and leads decision-making on assigned clients.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and control all phases of service for assigned clients
• Plan the timing, staffing and execution of assurance engagements
• Lead decision-making on assigned engagements and keep engagement leadership informed
• Develop and train the team, evaluate staff performance and instruct in professional development programs
• Prepare engagement letters, discuss terms with clients and estimate fees
• Evaluate internal controls and audit programs prepared by staff
• Monitor time budgets and deadlines, communicate important developments to engagement leadership and provide ongoing attention to client management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• 6+ years of public accounting experience
• CPA required
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
