CACI is seeking an Audio Visual Support Specialist with Television Grid. Additionally, you will ensure reliable delivery of television services by monitoring system performance, diagnosing and resolving equipment and signal issues, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and maintaining satellite antenna alignment and tuning.Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the THOR system, head-end and back-end systems, satellite reception and distribution equipment, and related television transmission infrastructure
  • Operate and maintain complex television, satellite communications, RF, broadcast, telecommunications, or similar mission-critical systems
  • Troubleshoot problems across multiple system interfaces, including RF, satellite, video, audio, networking, and control systems
  • Work independently and effectively in high-tempo, mission-critical operational environment
  • Consult and provide support to the customer’s local and abroad video engineers and support team in its entirety
  • Oversee and manage the video infrastructure that hosts resources for multiple Video Operations Centers
  • Consult with customers on requirements and direct to the appropriate stakeholder for optimum results
  • Provide support for tier II trouble shooting, including trouble ticket management, using REMEDY Action Request System
  • Install and trouble shoot LAN based and ISDN based video equipment
  • Create standard operation procedures (S.O.P’s) for video operation center
  • Provide customer training on new installations
  • Facilitate technical explorations meetings pertaining to problem resolution and propose implementation of new products
  • Facilitate efforts for drills and real time restoration to mission essential functions
  • Consult on enterprise interoperability.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, from an accredited institution and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree add 2 additional years of experience if AA/AS, or 4 additional years of experience with HS diploma
  • Experience in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support of the television grid and associated broadcast infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of satellite communications and satellite antenna alignment, and tuning
  • Experience with the THOR television distribution system or comparable satellite television distribution systems
  • Experience with satellite receivers, modulators/demodulators, encoders/decoders, multiplexers, and RF distribution equipment
  • Experience supporting systems requiring high availability and rapid service restoration
  • Understanding of RF signal distribution, video/audio systems, head-end architectures, and network-based signal transport.

Desired:

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • History of providing Video Teleconference (VTC) scheduling as well as first tier technical assistance
  • Maintained VTC schedules to include conference room reservations and training on the VTC equipment
  • First tier trouble shooting Facilitator of test calls Facilitator of second tier call out, including trouble ticket input Installation and operation of video teleconference equipment
  • Providing experience for trouble shooting VTC equipment to include LAN-based and ISDN based video equipment, Extron switches, DVI and VGA splitters, fiber transmitters, fiber receivers, KVM switches, and workstations
  • Provided customer training on new installations and assisted project management.
