    POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, the Audio/Visual (AV) Specialist is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of audio/visual technology throughout the District. The position provides technical support for classrooms, board meetings, professional development, staff meetings, school events, presentations, performances, athletic events, and other District activities requiring AV services. Functions and Responsibilities

    Install,

    configure,

    operate,

    maintain,

    and

    troubleshoot

    AV

    equipment

    and

    systems,

    including

    projectors,

    displays,

    microphones,

    speakers,

    cameras,

    mixers,

    amplifiers,

    control

    systems,

    recording

    equipment,

    and

    related

    technology.

    Provide

    technical

    support

    for

    classroom

    AV

    systems

    and

    instructional

    technology.

    Diagnose

    and

    resolve

    audio,

    video,

    connectivity,

    projection,

    display,

    and

    equipment-related

    issues.

    Perform

    routine

    inspections,

    testing,

    maintenance,

    and

    preventative

    care

    of

    AV

    equipment.

    Maintain

    accurate

    inventories

    of

    AV

    equipment

    and

    related

    assets.

    Recommend

    equipment

    replacements,

    upgrades,

    and

    improvements

    based

    on

    operational

    and

    instructional

    needs.

    Coordinate

    with

    vendors

    and

    contractors

    regarding

    installation,

    repair,

    warranty

    service,

    and

    equipment

    support.

    Ensure

    AV

    installations

    Provide

    AV

    support

    for

    Board

    of

    Education

    meetings,

    administrative

    meetings,

    professional

    conferences,

    workshops,

    ceremonies,

    performances,

    athletic

    events,

    and

    District

    activities.

    Set

    up,

    operate,

    monitor,

    and

    tear

    down

    AV

    equipment

    for

    events.

    Support

    live

    presentations,

    livestreams,

    recordings,

    and

    hybrid

    meetings.

    Assist

    with

    the

    operation

    of

    microphones,

    sound

    systems,

    presentation

    systems,

    cameras,

    and

    other

    event

    technology.

    Provide

    on-site

    technical

    support

    during

    high-profile

    large-scale

    District

    events.

    Coordinate

    event

    technology

    needs

    administrators

    organizers.

    Instructional and Staff Support

    Assist

    teachers

    staff

    effectively

    AV

    Provide

    Develop

    basic

    user

    guides,

    instructional

    Assist

    staff

    Provide

    Digital Media and Content Support

    Assist

    with

    video

    and

    audio

    recording,

    editing,

    production,

    and

    distribution.

    Support

    the

    creation

    of

    videos,

    presentations,

    livestreams,

    podcasts,

    and

    other

    digital

    media

    as

    assigned.

    Operate

    cameras

    and

    recording

    equipment

    for

    District

    events

    and

    activities.

    Assist

    with

    maintaining

    and

    organizing

    digital

    media

    files.

    Support

    livestreaming

    and

    recording

    platforms

    used

    by

    the

    District.

    Ensure

    recordings

    and

    digital

    media

    are

    produced

    in

    a

    professional,

    reliable,

    and

    accessible

    manner.

    Technology Operations

    Collaborate

    with

    Technology

    Services

    staff

    to

    resolve

    network,

    device,

    software,

    and

    connectivity

    issues

    that

    affect

    AV

    systems.

    Maintain

    documentation

    of

    AV

    configurations,

    equipment

    locations,

    system

    diagrams,

    and

    troubleshooting

    procedures.

    Assist

    with

    technology

    projects

    involving

    AV

    infrastructure

    and

    classroom

    modernization.

    Monitor

    emerging

    AV

    technologies

    and

    make

    recommendations

    regarding

    their

    potential

    use

    within

    the

    District.

    Required Qualifications:

    Experience

    working

    audio/visual

    equipment,

    technology

    Demonstrated

    AV

    principles,

    including

    audio,

    video,

    projection,

    displays,

    microphones,

    speakers,

    and

    connectivity.

    Strong

    troubleshooting

    Certifications and Licenses:
