Job Responsibilities

Under limited supervision of the Division Director of Addiction Recovery Services & Warden/Associate Warden,

• Provide administrative & clinical oversight for the adult male addiction treatment unit.

• Conduct internal audits & reviews to ensure programs are in compliance.

• Assist with ensuring assigned program beds are fully utilized.

• Oversee completion of monthly reports for assigned program areas.

• Provide individual & group counseling, conduct program-specific lectures, provide case management services on behalf of the client, conduct drug testing as required, provide discharge/aftercare planning, referral services for successful community reintegration.

• Assist with scheduling & monitoring clinical staff workload & program activities.

• Assist clinical staff with program implementation & service delivery as needed.

• Complete clinical assessments to determine the course of action, plan treatment & evaluate the ongoing process of program participants.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:

A bachelors degree and relevant program experience.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

• A masters degree and five (5) years experience in the addictions field which two (2) years must be supervisory experience.

• Must be licensed as an addiction counselor (LAC) or licensed mental health professional (LPC-A, LPC, LPC-S, LMSW or LISW).
