ATTORNEY CHILDREN & YOUTH
The Washington County Children and Youth Department is seeking applications for the position of Attorney. The successful candidate will join a team of attorneys, responsible to advise and represent the department in all legal matters and proceedings.
Duties include: • Consultation • Witness preparation • Representation at pretrial conferences • Hearings • Trials • Appellate proceedings
The starting annual salary for the position is $78,506.60 and the position also receives a generous benefits package, including family health insurance, retirement contribution, and wellness benefits/activities for both employees and their families.
Requirements: • Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar • Prior legal experience, including 2 to 3 years of litigation experience • Prior experience with child welfare law issues is preferred
