This opportunity is available for an experienced Litigation Attorney to join a collaborative practice in Walnut Creek representing healthcare clients in employment defense and civil litigation matters. The role emphasizes pre-litigation strategy, mediation, and resolution rather than heavy trial work.

The Role

The attorney will independently manage employment defense matters from pre-litigation through resolution while collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and staff. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements; conducting legal research; managing depositions and witness interviews; handling negotiations; and advising clients on risk, exposure, and legal strategy. The practice also includes mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and occasional trials.

Candidate Profile

Candidates should have litigation experience, and an active California Bar license in good standing. Employment law experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of civil procedure and evidence, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple matters are important for success.

Compensation & Benefits

Base compensation is generally $175,000–$225,000+, with flexibility based on experience. Completed and excellent benefit package.
