Description

Employment Litigation Associate

A growing boutique litigation practice in Beverly Hills is seeking an attorney to join its expanding employment litigation team. This position provides substantial hands-on litigation experience while working in a collaborative environment where initiative and teamwork are valued.

The practice consists of approximately 80% plaintiff employment litigation and 20% business litigation, representing clients in matters involving FEHA claims, wrongful termination, sexual harassment and abuse, PAGA, wage and hour disputes, whistleblower claims, and related employment matters.

Responsibilities

  • Handle plaintiff employment litigation matters
  • Draft demand letters, settlement demands, complaints, and substantive motions
  • Respond to written discovery
  • Manage discovery obligations
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Draft class certification motions when applicable
  • Prepare class-wide settlement agreements
  • Draft preliminary and final approval motions
  • Assist with trial preparation
  • Attend trials with supervising attorneys
  • Collaborate throughout all phases of litigation

 

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar membership in good standing
  • Minimum of one year of employment litigation experience
  • Plaintiff or defense employment litigation experience accepted
  • Strong litigation background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
  • Experience involving FEHA, wrongful termination, wage and hour, PAGA, whistleblower, or related employment claims preferred
  • Deposition and motion practice experience preferred
  • Class action experience is a plus

 

Compensation

  • Junior Associate: Up to $150,000
  • Mid-Level Associate: Up to $160,000
  • Highly Qualified Attorneys: $170,000–$180,000
  • Discretionary year-end bonus
  • Potential mid-year bonus
  • Optional case-based bonus of up to 3%

Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid schedule
  • Three days in the office
  • Two days remote

 

Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000
