    Description

    Confidential plaintiff-side asbestos litigation opportunity based in Emerville, CA. The attorney will represent clients with serious asbestos-related medical diagnoses, managing a caseload from intake through resolution and maintaining direct, compassionate client contact throughout each matter.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Manage a steady docket of plaintiff-side asbestos cases, handling intake, client meetings, and ongoing client communication.
    • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents with accuracy and timeliness.
    • Prepare for and conduct depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings as required.
    • Collaborate with an experienced plaintiff litigation team to develop case strategy and coordinate litigation planning.
    • Maintain organized case files, meet filing and discovery deadlines, and track case-related tasks in case-management systems.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Active California law license required.
    • Proven legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced litigation environment while meeting deadlines.
    • Comfortable and effective working directly with clients who have serious medical conditions, demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Prior experience in asbestos, toxic tort, or plaintiff-side personal injury litigation.
    • Experience taking or defending depositions and preparing cases for trial.
    • Familiarity with handling medical records, exposure-history investigation, and related factual development.
