Elder Law Attorney – Hauppauge, NY

An established New York law firm is seeking an experienced Elder Law Attorney to join its growing practice in Hauppauge. This senior-level opportunity is focused on Elder Law, Medicaid planning, asset protection, long-term care planning, crisis Medicaid matters, and estate planning.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients regarding Medicaid eligibility and planning.
  • Develop asset protection strategies.
  • Develop pre-planning and crisis planning solutions.
  • Oversee Medicaid applications and appeals.
  • Counsel clients regarding long-term care, nursing home placement, and community Medicaid programs.
  • Handle estate planning matters.
  • Work closely with families navigating healthcare and financial challenges.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and referral sources.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to and good standing with the New York State Bar.
  • Experience with Elder Law, Medicaid Planning, Estate Planning, Trusts, or Estates.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid eligibility rules and crisis planning strategies.
  • Strong communication, client service, and organizational skills.

 

Work Arrangement

  • This position is onsite only at the Hauppauge, NY office.

 

Compensation

  • $150,000–$200,000 salary range.
  • Discretionary year-end bonus paid in December.
