    Overview Nicolet Law is looking for an experienced Attorney to join our Personal Injury practice with possible management opportunities. Must be admitted to practice law in Illinois. This position will involve record review, legal research, legal writing, negotiations, discovery, depositions, hearings, trial, and other work advocating for injured clients in the Midwest.Responsibilities Manage a personal injury caseload including but not limited to auto accidents, dog bites, slip and fall, wrongful death, and other negligence-based claimsConduct initial client consultations and case evaluationsReview and summarize case records including but not limited to insurance policies and records, medical and billing records, and police reportsDraft and proof read legal correspondence and demand lettersDraft and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requestsPrepare to take and defend depositions, including expert and lay witnessesRepresent clients in mediation and court proceedings including trialMaintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed throughout the legal processCollaborate with support staff to efficiently move cases forwardEnsure compliance with all legal and ethical obligationsPossible Management opportunities include overseeing staff and attorneys in Illinois, including attorney mentoring, monitoring attorney KPIs, case status, and timelines as well as occasional 1:1 meetings and performance evaluationsQualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice law in IllinoisMinimum ten years of attorney experience required, personal injury experience strongly preferredManagement experience strongly preferredAbility to commute to meet clients as neededPrevious experience in a professional office environmentDetail-oriented and organizedStrong negotiation and communication skillsAbility to work as part of a team, manage and prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlinesClient focused with a high level of professionalism and customer service; ability to handle confidential matters with discretionDesire to work in a fast-paced, growing office that focuses on client satisfaction and resultsProficiency with legal research tools and case management software; Clio experience preferred but not requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, OutlookSchedule Monday to FridayMay require evening or weekend work, but job duties will primarily be during regular business hours#J-18808-Ljbffr
