The Division of Administrative Law (DAL) is Louisianas centralized administrative hearings panel. When disputes arise between government agencies and those they regulate, due process hearings should be fair and impartial, convenient to citizens, and conducted professionally. DAL is independent from the agencies served, preserving fairness and impartiality in administrative hearings.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice law plus three years of experience as a practicing attorney.

Position-Specific Details:
Position Requirements: Applicants must have a license to practice law in Louisiana, be in good standing with the LSBA, and be a resident of Louisiana.
Location: This position may be domiciled in DALs Baton Rouge office. Outside law practice is restricted.
Statutory Requirements: Due to statutory requirements, applicants who possess at least eight years or more experience practicing law will be preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:

Compensation: The maximum amount listed for the salary range is the amount a person can make throughout their career in the position and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay at the time of hire.
Travel: Travel may be required within the state, with occasional overnight stays.
