    Job Title: Attorney

    Location: Tustin, CA 92780

    Salary/Payrate: $150K – $190,000, bonus and AWESOME benefits!!!

    Work Environment: Hybrid (2 days WFH after ramp up)

    Term: Permanent / Fulltime

    JOB DESCRIPTION

     

    Experience Required: Minimum of three years legal experience, ideally with a background in public agency representation.


    Responsibilities:


    Ideal candidates should have experience in three or more of these areas of responsibility.

    • Provide legal counsel on education law, employment disputes, and governance matters including employee discipline, workplace investigations, and ADA accommodations.
    • Advise clients on business operations, facilities management, real estate, and energy matters.
    • Represent clients in all aspects of litigation, mediation, and arbitration in both federal and state courts, as well as administrative hearings. Trial experience preferred.
    • Assist with collective bargaining and labor relations for school employees.
    • Act as bond counsel for tax-exempt debt and other financing for capital projects.
    • Handle special education law matters, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Section 504 meetings, and compliance complaints.
    • Address student-related legal issues such as First Amendment concerns, FERPA, student discipline, and conduct hearings.



    Qualifications:

    • Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school.
    • Member in good standing of the California State Bar.
    • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
    • Knowledge of California public agency and education laws a plus.
    • Commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
