Department of Human Resources Job Title: Attendance Clerk - High School Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Principal / Assistant Principal Pay Grade: PP01, 175 Days Dept./School: High School Assigned Date Revised: October 2025 Primary Purpose: Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do work processing Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry and file maintenance Effective organization, clear communication skills and interpersonal skills - both oral and written Ability to meet established deadlines Experience: Data entry experience Previous school experience preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Assist campus Attendance Secretary
  2. Verify and ensure attendance is accurate for all students
  3. Communicate with students, parents and personnel to ensure absences are documented correctly
  4. Assist with generating attendance reports
  5. Assist with creation and maintenance of student attendance folders
  6. Assist with coordination of attendance posting and documentation by teachers
  7. Assist with training and monitoring of student aides
  8. Greet visitors, answer phones and questions while maintaining a professional and friendly attitude Other
  9. Maintain confidentiality at all times
  10. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
