The Attendance Clerk ensures compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines related to student attendance and supports a welcoming and efficient front office environment for students, families, and staff.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredExperience in clerical or school office work preferredKnowledge of attendance procedures and recordkeepingProficient in the use of computers and office equipmentStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Attendance & Records Management:Maintain accurate daily attendance records using the district's student information systemProcess daily attendance reports and notify administrators of excessive absences or patternsCommunicate with parents/guardians to verify student absences and obtain appropriate documentationPrepare and submit reports required by the district, state, and other agenciesWork with teachers and administrators to ensure timely submission of attendance dataClerical & Front Office Support:Answer incoming calls and provide general information or direct calls as neededGreet and assist campus visitors in a professional and courteous mannerProcess tardy slips, early dismissals, and student transfersMaintain confidentiality of student and family information at all timesAssist with other general office duties such as filing, mail distribution, and data entryWorking Conditions:Work with frequent interruptionsMaintain emotional control under stressProlonged use of computer and office equipmentOccasional lifting of materials and supplies up to 25 pounds Minimum Salary $16.28 hourlySalary is commensurate with experienceWorks 195 Day Calendar Please note that this role requires in-person attendance and is not eligible for remote work.
