Atrium Pharmacy Clerk

Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater)
Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours every two weeks (Non-Exempt)
Starting Wage DOE: $17.00 - 21.25
The Pharmacy Clerk will perform all aspects of the job under the general direction of the Pharmacy Lead, Manager, or Director and under direct supervision by a Pharmacist. Pharmacy Clerk responsibilities include greeting customers, answering basic questions, handling point of sale transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Pharmacy Clerk will also be responsible for stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and assisting with over-the-counter inventory management. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a retail or pharmacy setting is preferred but not required. The Pharmacy Clerk must be able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures, consulting the pharmacy technician or pharmacist when necessary. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Essential Job Functions
Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner
Process point of sale transactions accurately
Answer basic questions about products and services
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels
Check over the counter expiration dates and remove expired products
Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with clerical and operational tasks within the scope of the position
Handle confidential customer information appropriately
Address routine customer concerns and escalate issues to appropriate pharmacy personnel or leadership as needed
Follow all pharmacy policies and procedures
Communicate with pharmacy staff regarding customer needs and prescription pickup requests to support timely and efficient service
Work effectively within a team environment, coordinating workflow with other team members to maintain productivity and efficiency
Support colleagues by sharing information, helping balance workloads, and contributing to a collaborative environment
