Job Description

We are seeking a ATM Software Test Engineer - Manual / Functional Testing to join our team supporting ATM platform testing in a lab environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in functional/manual testing, UI testing, and Agile tools such as Jira and a proven ability to plan and execute regression testing, document defects with due diligence, and collaborate with partners for UAT and acceptance.

Role Logistics

• Onsite role in Charlotte, NC. Five days per week. Onsite day one.
• Start month targeted for November or December.
• Interview format is video.
• Glider ID verification required.
• Lab setting with shared workspace.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, document, and execute regression tests for ATM application releases across software, hardware, and firmware.
• Troubleshoot issues to isolate root causes and reduce defects to succinct, reproducible steps.
• Document defects and issues with due diligence and communicate to appropriate audiences.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and scripts. Assess and refine epics, stories, and bugs.
• Operate in a test lab, install software, condition data, and manage test environment issues on ATM devices.
• Perform exploratory and UAT testing or collaborate with business partners to drive acceptance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Functional/manual testing expertise, including UI testing with ability to manipulate data.
• Understanding of Agile frameworks and experience using Agile tools for test management and defect tracking.
• Proficiency with Jira for test case management and defect workflows.
• Experience testing devices in a lab environment and working with hardware components.
• Strong curiosity and tenacity with the ability to ask key questions and push back appropriately.
• Team-oriented communication and timely reporting. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions to advance work.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ATM software, firmware, or embedded device testing.
• Background in exploratory testing and UAT coordination with business stakeholders.
