Position Description & Details

Looking for a fun, fast paced job where you can be part of the game-day excitement? Join the Bismarck State College team as a part-time Athletics Food Service Worker! In this role, youll help deliver great food and friendly service to fans, students, and visitors during athletic events at the Bavendick Center. This position works up to 19 hours per week, with hours varying based on departmental needs.

What Youll Do:

  • Assist with routine food preparation and serving (i.e., chicken wings, pizza, etc.) as needed.
  • Assists with concessions setup.
  • Assists in the stocking of the beverage cooler, chips and candy as needed.
  • Assists in maintaining the dishwasher and the dish return area.
  • Operates the cash register in recording the sale of food items.
  • Operates various kitchen equipment and cleaning equipment.
  • Assists with the cleaning and sanitizing of the work area.
  • Maintains required safety and health standards.
  • Supports innovation, creativity and ideas to improve/enhance processes, functions, etc. in the department and as a whole for the college.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Food service experience.
