The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) is seeking an energetic, organized, and operations-focused Athletics Facilities and Equipment Manager to play a key role in creating an exceptional experience for our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans.
Located in the beautiful South Carolina Lowcountry, USCB Athletics is home to 13 varsity sports, along with growing club and intramural programs. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of athletic facility and event operations, equipment management, inventory control, and facility maintenance practices. Strong oral and written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facility, inventory, and work order management systems. Ability to operate equipment related to athletic facility and field maintenance and to understand safety standards and risk management practices. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, coaches, student-athletes, University personnel, contractors, and student employees while providing exceptional customer service and support. This is a full-time, Live in position working 40 hours per week, 12 months per year.

Job Duty
Manage the day-to-day operation, inspection, maintenance, and long-range planning of all athletic facilities and competition venues to ensure safe, functional, and competition-ready environments. Oversee athletic field maintenance, including mowing and general upkeep of competition and practice surfaces. Serve as the primary liaison with University Facilities, coordinating maintenance projects, repairs, work orders, and facility improvement initiatives while developing policies and procedures that promote safety, efficiency, and a positive user experience.

Coordinate and oversee facility operations for home competitions, special events, and external facility users. Direct venue setup and breakdown, communicate facility needs and operational updates to Game Managers, participate in event planning meetings, and ensure facilities, locker rooms, and event spaces are prepared to support a first-class experience for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators.

Oversee the procurement, receiving, inspection, inventory, storage, distribution, maintenance, and repair of athletic equipment and apparel. Manage orders from purchase through delivery, verify shipment accuracy and quality, maintain inventory records, and implement procedures to ensure accountability and stewardship of department assets.

Coordinate equipment issuance, locker room assignments, and department-wide laundry operations for athletic teams and officials. Collaborate with coaches and staff to assess and address equipment needs and ensure programs have the resources necessary to support practice, competition, and student-athlete success.

Partner with coaches, Athletics staff, University personnel, game managers, and student employees to identify operational needs, coordinate seasonal preparations, promote facility accountability, and support departmental goals through effective communication, leadership, and customer service.

Assist with University after hours maintenance requests on campus along with Hurricane preparations when needed. Assist with athletics building cleaning, housekeeping, etc. when needed.
