Athletic Trainer Occupational and Industrial Services

The Occupational/Industrial Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing "Occupational Injury Prevention and Wellness Services" to clients, employees, and other patients under a supervising physician and in direct contact with Novant Health Employer Solutions/Occupational Medicine leadership and providers. Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday – Friday | 3 days a week

 

The Occupational/Industrial Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing "Occupational Injury Prevention and Wellness Services" to clients, employees, and other patients under a supervising physician and in direct contact with Novant Health Employer Solutions/Occupational Medicine leadership and providers.

What We're Looking For:

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years collegiate or professional experience, recommended but not required.
• Licensure/Certification: Current AT Licensure in appropriate state, required. Current BOC Certification, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Hold or ability to hold CSCS, PES, XPS, CES national certification(s). Ability to hold AHA BLS First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification.

What You'll Do:

• Provide appropriate preventative and post-injury treatment
• Instruct individuals on injury prevention techniques, job hazard analysis, ergonomic assessments, first aid and injury care.
• Demonstrate an ability to perform the following functions regarding injuries: prevention, assessment, treatment (including first aid) and reconditioning
